A FIELD NOTEBOOK FOR CREATIVE WORKTHE DESKSLY ART DESIGNSBPHQ

GOOD IDEAS DESERVE EVIDENCE

MAKE IT. TEST IT. KNOW.

Keep the spark, the method, the revisions, and what actually happened—together. No more brilliant ideas disappearing into a folder named “final-final.”

The experiments

These examples show how the notebook works. Your own work saves to this device.

THE POINT OF THE WORK

“We tried it” is a memory.
“Here’s what changed” is a method.

THE EXPERIMENT FILE

New experiment

Give the idea enough shape to test. You can revise it later; the previous version stays in its history.
BRING YOUR WORK HOME

Import notebook

Import a PROOFWORK JSON backup. Identical records are skipped; a changed record with the same ID becomes a separate imported copy. Nothing is overwritten or deleted.
SOURCE & PROVENANCE

Built from a useful idea—not a copied identity.

Tutorial inspiration: JavaScript Mastery. Original design and implementation: Sly Art Designs.

PROOFWORK transforms the tutorial’s record, discovery, authorship, and editing principles into an original local-first evidence notebook. No tutorial code, artwork, layout, database schema, or prompt feed is included.
